We're still here

I don't have anything exciting to report. Since we've been back from Christmas it's just been normal everyday, busy life. Tyler works an insane amount, like normal, and the girls and I try to occupy ourselves in the meantime. I haven't blogged much lately because I don't have much to blog about, but here are some pictures of our everyday normal life.

My Christmas present from Tyler. We got it put together and hung. I love it!

We switched to 1pm church this year. Avery won't fall asleep before church so she ends up with no nap. The first couple of Sundays she fell asleep on the way home at 4 and I could NOT wake her up! She had some very late nights. She's doing better lately and just doesn't nap at all and goes to bed early which is nice.

Avery really likes puzzles and she's getting pretty good at putting them together. This is one she got from my Grandma for Christmas.

Kendall fell on the cement sidewalk while we were out walking. She scraped up the whole side of her face. It was so sad!

Kendall usually just takes one nap a day now, but she's always tuckered out by the time we get home from our morning adventure. She wanted a hug from Daddy when we got home and just snuggled in on his shoulder and fell fast asleep.

Me and Tyler got to sneak away on a rare date. Tyler got last minute tickets to the Mavs game in Dallas so we called the babysitter and went! I wish we could go out more often because it was SO nice to have some alone time!
Also, I love that our kids are old enough that we can go on a last minute date with no advance preparation. Yay for growing up!

Avery and Kendall love playing in the laundry basket. I love that Avery does some of the pushing now.

And I love Kendall's face in this one, when the mask shifted on her face. haha!
She loves wearing this mask!

When Kendall's been quiet for too long I know I need to check on her.
She pulled out like 100 gloves from this box.

Snuggling on the couch with their blankies, watching a show.

Avery loves getting an "elephant ride" from Daddy. And of course Kendall always wants on too.

A little outing with our friends to ride the carousel at the mall.
$5 for unlimited rides and Avery will ride it like 10+ times until I can finally convince her to get off.

Avery and Ethan are cute little friends. The other day I met up at Chickfila with a few girls from church to do my visiting teaching and when I told Avery where we were going she said "Is Ethan going to be there?" And when I answered no she told me "then I don't want to go".

Kendall insists on pushing carts at the store now, instead of riding in them.
She is horrible at steering.

Kendall has been pretty tough at church. Sacrament meeting isn't so bad, but she has to come with me to Primary where she pretty much throws a fit if I do anything except hold her and pay 100% attention to her. It makes it very difficult to teach sharing time. Last week I dropped her off in nursery for the last twenty minutes while I taught and apparently she cried the whole time soooo that's not going to work. (4 more months till nursery!)

This cracks me up every time. Kendall only has 4 teeth on top and two (almost 4) teeth on bottom so when she eats a cheese stick she just munches down the middle while the sides bunch up in her cheeks. When she comes up for air from chowing down she pulls out the cheese stick and it looks like this.

Kendall loves stacking the bean cans. I keep trying to trade them out for tuna cans but she won't have it. They always fall on her and she gets so mad, but she still insists on using them.

Talking to Grammy and Grandpa on the computer.

We took advantage of a warm couple of days and went to the zoo.
Avery and Olivia were so cute together.

Checking out the sea otters.

Kendall liked the otters too.

Big sisters and little sisters all smushed in the wagon.

For Sharing Time we are playing Scripture Bowl (because it's the Superbowl!). I only took this picture because we didn't finish the game last week so we're going to keep playing this week and I needed to remember where everything was, but I threw it in here because this is my life!

I made bacon to crumble on a salad and left it on the counter to cool. I turned my back for one second and Avery snuck a piece.

Avery loves her princess dresses and wears them every day. She asked me to take a picture of her in her Anna dress.

And then made a bunch of silly faces for the next twenty pictures. She likes me to take pictures of her just so she can look at them on the phone later.

We started doing preschool again once a week. It was my turn to teach this past week and we made B bunnies!

More elephant rides from Daddy!

Coloring hearts for our Valentine's garland.

I french braided Avery's hair. She usually never lets me mess with her hair, but I bribed her with a show. I was sad that it didn't turn out better. Her hair is just still too short in the front!

Kendall had a couple good weeks where she slept in till 7:15 or so every day. Now she's back to her early mornings. Today I gave her some cereal and put on a show so I could lay down a while longer. It's Saturday after all!

We are looking forward to our trip to California and Disneyland next week to visit Tyler's family!

I was missing your posts! I love checking in on your everyday. I can't believe how big those girls are getting! Dylan just finished his ED shift and it was a little bit of hell. I thought about you so much and don't know how you're doing it! It was so hard having his sleep schedule all out of sync and when he slept during the day I felt like I had to leave the house so the kids wouldn't wake him up.
