The Big Announcement

We're pregnant!

Well, technically I'M pregnant, but I give Tyler full responsibility in making me this way and he will also be taking a full part in raising this child so for all intents and purposes... we're pregnant!

Baby Hedman will be arriving sometime in May.

I think it will be early May, but the doc thinks it will be closer to the end.

I think he doesn't know what he's talking about.

He says he'll give me a more solid date next time I come in. We'll see who was right ...

Anyway, this is a pretty big change for us!

But we are excited and we feel like it is the right time to start our family.

Mostly it still doesn't feel real to me. I haven't felt sick or anything so the only proof I had for a long while was a positive pregnancy test. The first time we went to the doctor he couldn't see anything on the ultrasound, but he did confirm I was pregnant.

We went in for a second drs appointment last Friday and we finally could see the little guy (or girl) as a blurry little blob on the screen. He's really in there!

The dr also let us listen to the heartbeat, which was very cool.

I couldn't believe there was actually something (someONE) growing inside of me! I still don't think I've really grasped that.

After we heard the heartbeat we were excited to finally tell our families.

We video chatted with both of them and showed them our ultrasound. 

They are all so excited!

This will be the third grandbaby for Tyler's family, but the first for mine, so you can imagine how excited my parents were to hear that they are going to be grandparents!

Telling people about it has made it become a lot more real, but I'm not sure I'll really believe it until I start poking out with a little baby belly and feel the little guy kick around in there.

Either way, I'm still really excited and can't wait to start the next part of our life!

Tyler is also very excited... but only if it's a boy :)

So there you have it. The moment you've all been waiting for has finally arrived. And we couldn't be more thrilled!
