Tyler turns 24

Happy Birthday, Tyler!

Today my cute hubby turned 24 and I tried to make it a good day for him. Luckily, one of the things Tyler loves most is some good food so it was easy for me to make him happy on his special day by making him all of his favorite meals. Today was General Conference, so we got to sleep in instead of going to church at 9 like usual. I had time to make one of Tyler's favorite breakfast foods... Magleby's French Toast and signature syrup (thanks for the recipe Aunt Kendra!). It was super tasty.

Tyler also got to open his presents this morning. I think his favorite present is the Texas Longhorn scrubs he got from my parents. Pretty cool, right?

He also got some clothes, a book, and a boogie board. Here he is with all his presents...

I thought it would be fun to make Cafe Rio for dinner since it's Tyler's favorite meal and we don't have the real Cafe Rio to go to anymore. I tried my Aunt Kelly's recipe this time and it turned out AMAZING!! (Thanks Aunt Kelly!) I made a ton of food so we can eat it for the rest of the week too. (no more cooking for a few days!) Here's Tyler with his tasty meal.

Right as soon as we finished dinner I had to make a Chocolate Zucchini cake to share with everyone who came over to celebrate Tyler's birthday with us, so I was pretty much in the kitchen the whole day, but it was worth it for the birthday boy. Tyler was nice enough to help me clean up dinner and even helped make his own birthday cake.

Our friends, the Moline's, have a chocolate fountain that they wanted to try out so we combined forces and had a birthday party for Tyler with their chocolate fountain and it was awesome. We had a bunch of our friends from the ward come over and we all just sat around gorging ourselves on chocolate and cake. The Moline's said their present to Tyler was a night of endless chocolate! haha! And it was. We had a great time. I was worried everyone wouldn't fit in our tiny apartment, but it worked out pretty good. I wanted to take a picture of everyone who came, but I thought it would be weird so... I just got one of Tyler with his cake. We sang him Happy Birthday and he was able to blow out all the candles!

I think he had a pretty good birthday. I tried to love him up a lot and make sure he knows how happy I am to have him in my life. I love you, sweetheart! Happy Birthday!
