We are loving our summer in Utah! It's so nice to not have a schedule and just get to play and/or be lazy!
Tyler found a duck when he was jogging to the gym!
He turned around and brought it home for the kids to play with.
It was super cute. They spent a whole morning making it a habitat in a box on the back porch.
When Kendall went to work with my dad his co-worker gave Kendall a lump of clay to take home.
She has been making cute sculptures with it. This is a mama bird with her nest of baby birds. so cute!
Avery is doing a volleyball camp this summer and is signed up for the fall season. She's having fun!
There are about 20 Reagan/Bailey selfies on my phone lol
I had to go down to Salt Lake for an appt so we made a day trip out of it!
We visited Wheeler farm where they had lots of amazing tree stump sculptures.
And lots of trees to climb in!
We threw rocks at the ducks in the pond for at least 30 minutes. Had to tear them away.
Checked out the farm animals.
And did a wagon ride!
Got a new couch for the upstairs!
Tyler made me an amazing breakfast sandwich on my birthday!
His inspiration was this amazing sandwich we had when we went to Hawaii last year. Nailed it!
We went on a hike for my birthday! No one even complained!
A and K on the same crooked tree they sat on 5 years ago!
Avery wanted to climb every tree.
Then we went and waded at Bear Lake. The kids were bummed with didn't bring swimsuits!
My greatest blessings!
Sawyer was dutifully trying to keep his shorts from getting wet but he splashed so much in the water they were soaked in the back. He was so proud of himself for doing such a good job, he was so confused when he went to sit down and the back was all wet.
We checked out Ricks Spring on our way back home and found a cave to explore.
I made a key lime pie for my birthday treat. Yum!
Another bird Kendall made out of clay.
We checked out the Logan Aquatic Center. It has diving boards and slides and a kiddie pool plus the big pool. We had a great time! Reagan went down the super steep slide!! This was the only picture I got though during the mandatory rest time.
More clay from Kendall. How does she do it?!
The kids were sad we didn't swim at Bear Lake on my birthday so we went back the next weekend to swim! North Beach was full so we checked out East beach. Not as good of sand, but still fun!
Sawyer was happy to dig in the sand.
Burying Dad's feet.
Digging holes for rocks.
Trying to trap Reagan in.
We got dinner at the Bear diner after our day.
We drove down to Saratoga Springs for cousin Jay's first birthday party!
Reagan had fun playing with her second cousin Finley!
My brother and SIL came in town from California for Kenzie's brother's homecoming so we got to see them too! Lucky timing! We swam at the Well's pool in the evening. Got to meet our new cousin Nash too!
Grandma Engstrom drove over from Denver for the bday party and then drove up to Logan to spend a couple days with us before she drove back home. We went to the Pioneer Day parade with her.
At the parade!
Then we went shopping and the girls tried on a bunch of fancy dresses for fun.
Back at Bear Lake!
My cousin invited us to come spend the day with them. It was fun to play with their kayak and paddle board and catch up!
Tyler had so much fun with the kids on the kayak.
We had a picnic in the shade! The weather was perfect.
Reagan had fun playing with Maura who is about her age.
The resort had tons of amenities. The kids played on the hammocks while we grilled up some hot dogs for lunch. It was a really fun day!
They have a play ground and swing sets for kids.
Reagan with her second cousins.
The whole gang!
Sawyer passed out on the way home. It's a good life!
Fireworks from Pioneer day. It started sprinkling on us so the kids covered up with the blanket.
Beautiful Cache Valley sunset!
