Brent and Tracy brought Ryan's dirt bike to Tyler!
Grampa played Guess Who with Reagan
Grandma and Kendall with the pretty flowers.
Kendall had been pretty sick for like 3 weeks and was very weak and low energy.
Gramma took good care of her.
Gramma and Grampa went to the temple early in the morning and then surprised us with Crumbl cookies before they headed out of town! It was so great to get to see them and show them our new home!
A few days later we drove down to Moab for a couple days.
Tommy, Kevin and Mariah drove over from GJ to come see us!
We met up at a Mexican restaurant.
Tommy had fun with his cousins!
We tried a gelato place. The cheesecake flavor was amazing!
We got up at 5:30 to beat the heat and the crowds to hike to Delicate Arch.
It was gorgeous hiking in the early morning.
The kids did really great on the hike. We had to go slow because Kendall was still pretty weak from being sick and Reagan and Sawyer have short legs, but we made it! I'm really proud of them for doing the whole thing. (3 miles)
The beauty of the landscape was breathtaking especially hiking as the sun was coming up.
Hiking down the arch for our picture!
We made it!
Wowza!
God's beautiful Earth!!
We checked out some other arches too.
Tyler scrambled up these rocks.
The double arches from Raiders of the Lost Ark!
The movie came on in our hotel room that night and the kids were so excited to recognize all the rock formations we just hiked that day!
Awe inspiring!
Avery on a diving board.
(and the 3 sisters rock to the left)
We rewarded ourselves at the end of our hiking!
We try not to drink too much soda so Avery was excited to get a root beer in a fun bottle even!
The second day at Arches we visited the Landscape Arch.
Got to do some technically hiking.
Had to get up a challenging rock.
The kids were ready to turn around so Tyler hiked the last .25 miles to the next arch while the rest of us started to hike down.
Had to get a selfie to document!
Had to play in the super soft, fine sand.
Checked out a rock store.
Found a bakery with a cinnamon roll as big as Kendall's head.
We did lots of swimming too! Kevin, Mariah, and Tommy swam with us a bunch too, but I didn't get any pictures of that! It was super fun to see them and we are excited to be much closer to them!
Moab was a super fun quick trip and a great way to finish off our summer before all the busyness of school started. We are looking forward to exploring more of Utah/Idaho!

Love the blog update! Utah activities so much fun. Glad we got to visit!
The Moab sites are AMAZING! I'm sure you are thinking the pics do not do it justice. So impressive the kiddos did all that hiking AND were up early for it. What a great trip! I'm wishing I had been there to enjoy the sites AND the cheesecake gelato flavor.
P.S. I'm thinking any time you go on a trip and can find a cinnamon roll for Kendall she will consider the trip a success LOL
