We just got back from a fun trip to Colorado. One of my high school friends got married so I went out for the wedding and because we look for any excuse to visit family. Tyler started his dreaded SICU rotation this month and this week he is on track to work 100 hours so he didn't really notice that we weren't home.
We had a 6am flight so we had to get up at 3:30 to drive to the airport. It was an early start, but the girls did great! They are getting really good at air travel!
They were SO excited to see Grammy at the airport. They sprinted over to her as fast as their little legs could carry them and smothered her in hugs and kisses.
Our visit isn't complete without a stop at Costco. These bears are huge and ridiculous!
Little shoppers.
My friend had a tea party for her bridal shower. I LOVED it! All the food was so cute and tiny and everything was so quaint. I need to come up with another excuse to have a tea party.
My mom and me at the tea party.
My beautiful friend, Sami!
We went on a hike with Rhett, my cousin's son. Avery and Rhett had a ton of fun together this trip and Avery keeps talking about him since we've been home.
Exploring at the river.
Throwing rocks.
My little explorer just wanting to keep up with the big kids.
Hands in pockets.
Beautiful Colorado. This trip made me homesick. The weather was so perfect and everything was so pretty with the changing leaves. Take me home!
I drove up to the wedding with some friends and I loved catching up with them.
Sami and David's wedding was absolutely gorgeous. The ceremony was very touching and I loved hearing their vows to each other.
High school friends! It was such a blast hanging out with everyone again!
I miss these people!
Me and the beautiful bride. She wore her mom's old wedding dress.
Everything at the wedding was so well thought out and sentimental. So sweet. I was so glad I was able to come and celebrate with her.
We went to our favorite Indian restaurant. Avery loved the tikki masala! (who doesn't really??)
Hugs for Grandpa!
The candy fairy left candy for the girls every morning in Grammy cabinet.
More pictures from our hike. These girls crack me up.
Grammy and Kendall looking cute.
My mom pulled out all the playmobil toys my little brothers used to play with. The girls loved it!
Feeding the ducks with Grandpa.
Shakes a smashburger!
Helping Grammy finish her quilt.
We got to see Great Grandma a bunch this trip and all the kiddos love her!
We had a horrible day getting back. The girls weren't great on the flight and then my car wouldn't start. It took forever to get it taken care of and I'm mad that my husband can't just come rescue me when crap like this happens. We didn't even make it home in time to see him before he had to go in to work. It was a sad day. But we have recovered and the car is fixed (I think). Now we are just counting down for November when Tyler can come up for air!
