TOFW and Tyler's birthday

A couple highlights around here recently was that I got to go to Time Out For Women and we celebrated Tyler's 29th(!!) birthday! Here are some pictures plus the usual shenanigans in between.

We went to the zoo with Daddy. We went right before closing and the lions were hungry for dinner! They perked right up when we walked by and started stalking the girls from the enclosure! Me and Tyler were having too much fun using our girls as bait that they sent security over... (no children were put at risk during the bait shenanigans. We were just walking from one side of the enclosure to the other and showing off the girls and the lions were totally following us and trying to jump out of the cage).

Avery trying out the magnifying glasses at the science museum.

Two cuties. I love these girls and they love each other (most of the time).

Time Out For Women with a couple of my girl friends! Basically, EFY for grown ups. It was so refreshing and upbeat and nice to get away from my normal mommy duties for a while.

We went to lunch with a bunch of women from our ward who also attended.

These girls wanted to have a slumber party.
(It didn't happen)

Best buds coloring. Kendall definitely enjoys coloring a lot more than Avery. She is entertained by it for a lot longer. It's fun to see the differences between them.

Kendall being a goof at Happy Lark.

I love this cutie. She is getting so grown up!

Avery, always playing dress up.

Family Night lesson on our bodies are like Heavenly Father's. We traced the girls  and they thought that was the coolest thing ever and now they want to do it every day. Also, Tyler turned it into an anatomy lesson and drew in all the body parts and taught Avery about her gallbladder and liver and stuff.

Avery earned a My Little Pony because she can say the first Article of Faith. She really wanted Fluttershy and I thought I had purchased that one, but the cutie mark was all wrong and Avery insisted that we go back in for the correct pony.

Avery with the REAL Fluttershy.

Avery has been going to preschool one day a week and it's been so fun to have a morning with Kendall all to myself. She mostly keeps me company while I go around doing house chores or we run errands together or read books. She babbles on and on about everything under the sun and sings me songs. In this picture she's singing "keep your finger on the wall on the wall" like they do at Avery's preschool to keep them in line while they walk to different classrooms. She's totally adorable and I love getting some one on one time with her that I rarely get.

We went to a 90's party for a friend who was turning 30. (well, for like an hour before Tyler had to go to work). It was pretty fun getting dressed up!

N64 Marikart tournament. Tyler won his heat obvs.

Kendall is such a little snuggler. She loves burying her head into your shoulder whenever you pick her up and she often comes and lays her head on our heads when we're laying down. I just love this about her! If you ever need a good hug, Kendall's your girl!

We threw a surprise party for Daddy since we are going to be out of town on his real birthday. The girls helped me decorate the presents.

Kendall found the rubber band ball.

The surprise all set up for when Daddy got home from work!
(We were at church).

We got to open presents when we got home from church.

The girls got him some GI Joes so they can "play fights". I'm pretty sure this was Tyler's favorite present... the poor guy plays a lot of princesses with Avery.
(They're not going to turn all violent on me, right??)

Trying out Tyler's new memory foam pillow. Gotta get good sleep!

Right now we are in Colorado so I can go to a friend's wedding and to visit my parents of course! We've been here a couple days and are having a great visit so far. Pics to come!
