Hanging around

No exciting adventures for us recently, but my girls are always doing something cute so of course I have plenty of pictures to share. Here's the latest of the day in the life of a 3 and 1 year old.

Eating bananas while they watch Saturday morning cartoons.

Avery wanted to make her bed on the changing table.

Kendall loves to sit down next to the bookcase and look at book after book after book. All the heart eyes for her cute piggy tails!!

I have really been cracking down on doing the family photo albums. I was getting so far behind! I got year 2014 and Kendall's baby book done, and I'm getting close to finishing 2015. It feels good to be getting caught up and it's pretty fun to go back and look at all of our pictures. The girls are growing so fast!

They have library programs going on during the summer and I thought Avery would love them, but we've gone to three now and we've left early from every one. I think she's freaked out by the big crowd of kids or something. Maybe next summer she'll be more into it. I was taking selfies to try and keep them occupied before the show started :)

Avery usually dresses herself these days and she insisted her shirt was on the right way.... :-/ She was so proud of herself, I didn't have the heart to make her turn it around!

Coloring buddies. They really are becoming best buds. It's so fun.

After an appointment they wanted to play on these steps. We didn't have anywhere to be so I just let them play. 45 minutes later... we finally went home. Kids are weird.

Kendall started nursery! She hates it when I drop her off, but she's always happy when I go back to check on her a few minutes later. Last week she fell asleep so they tucked her in with a blanket while chaos ensued around her.
The nursery leaders tell me her favorite part is singing time and she happily sits on her square of carpet and sings along with all the songs.

Avery doesn't really take naps anymore, but all the swimming we've been doing is really wearing her out! I think she took 3 naps last week!

Swimming at a friends. Avery loves her new puddle jumper!

Avery asked if we could move the little table into the kitchen so we've had it in there for a while. They love eating their meals together.

Avery with a cute smile.

Eating popsicles with Charlotte in the empty pool.

I won an Instagram giveaway! I get to try out these fun leather earrings. I am loving them!

I met up with our friends from medical school, the Wests, in downtown Fort Worth. They have been doing residency over in Dallas, but Jer is finally graduating (!!) and they are moving away. They wanted to check out the Stockyards so I took the girls and met up with them. It was fun to see them again! Knowing someone personally who is actually done with residency makes it feel like the end is in sight for us! I'm so excited for them!

We watched the cattle drive down the main street.
It was very underwhelming. It lasted like 10 seconds! Avery thought the longhorns were pretty cool though.

Looking at a longhorn in the stables. Right after this picture was taken the longhorn turned its head and its horn came out of gate. Luckily, Avery was quick on her feet or the horn would have knocked her over! yikes!

Trying on cowgirls boots!

Those crazy Texans. I love these cuties.

We went to a friend's Frozen party.
Avery declined the invitation to be photographed
(read: threw a fit about having her picture taken)

Our cuties on Father's Day. Tyler had to work, but he was home when we got home from church at 4 so we got to spend the rest of the day spoiling him.

Avery wiping Kendall's hands after breakfast.
She can be a really good helper when she wants to be.
