A little of this, a little of that

I am breathing much easier now that today is over. I was in charge of our ward's Christmas program (plus filling in for singing time) and it was beautiful and amazing and now it's over! Now I can just worry about Christmas and packing to go home and see my family. Tyler has the next THREE days off which feels like a mini Christmas vacation so this week is looking pretty good!

I don't have tons of great pictures, but here's what we've been up to recently.

My mom sent the girls some advent calendars to count down to Christmas, but it turned into a fight every day when I would only let them have one so after a few days I just let them rip them open and eat the rest. Maybe next year...

I thought they looked so cute watching Snow White together.
Avery is obsessed with this movie. She wants to watch it every day and when she isn't watching it, she's acting out the movie in her Snow White dress.

Kendall's latest obsession is trying on shoes.

Zoo day! They are looking at a turtle together. Kendall says "tu-tul!"

Avery on the rocks with her friends.

All dressed up to go to the ward Christmas party.

Kendall did not like Santa.
Avery asked him for a "bu-lella" (umbrella)

I love it when I find them off playing together.
Avery had dumped out all her Halloween candy and they were sorting through it together.

The resident wives group got together for a Christmas party. All the kids wore Christmas pjs. We tried to take a picture of all the kids, but it was a disaster. I think half the kids were screaming their heads off in this picture. I wish I had a video because you can't tell in the picture. I thought it was super funny.

The kids were much happier when the moms jumped in.

After a month of waiting on Tyler to hang this coat rack I decided to take matters into my own hands and do it myself. I borrowed a drill from my friend and watched a youtube video about how to install drywall screws and got that thing hung! I am so impressed with myself. Tyler is less impressed. Probably because he knows how to use a drill and install drywall screws.

My success with youtube led me to find a video about how to get my drain plug in the master bath up. Neither me or Tyler could figure out how to get the plug up to clean out all the hair that was stuck in there. It's been plugged ever since we moved in 6 months ago, but we haven't worried about it too much since we don't take baths and the girls bathe in their bathroom. I found out that there is a screw you have to unscrew under the top to get it off. It was very easy and now I feel dumb that I didn't look it up ages ago. The grossest thing about this is that none of that hair is ours.... ewwww. Bathtub drains great now!

This is a picture of Avery's M&M cookie. We thought it was so funny that she bit off all the m&ms and put the cookie back on the counter... like in case someone else wanted to finish it off for her. hahaha!

I'm trying to get Kendall to take one nap a day. It's mostly working, but sometimes she can't quite make it through lunch.

It's been a little chilly here recently so I bundled up Kendall to go on a walk.
I love this precious little face!

I can't get enough pictures of Kendall in a hat!
