From earlier in the week... Tyler put Avery's Snow White dress on Kendall. It was so adorable.
Avery was ok with it for like 5 minutes and we tried to get her happy with another dress, but she loves, loves, loves her Snow White dress so she wanted it back pretty quick.
Cutie!!!
I cooked my first turkey! I don't know why I was so intimidated by it, it was pretty easy. I sent Tyler pictures of the meal prep all day so he could be excited about our feast that night when he got home from work. Note the apple pie I made sitting up on the counter.
We got out the selfie stick to take a picture of our meal. It looks pretty sparse because I left all the food over on the counter, but there was a LOT of food. Which is why we got to eat Thanksgiving dinner for 5 days straight!
Look who folds her arms for prayer now!
The next day we went to the mall with Avery's friend Charlotte's family to ride the carousel and go ice skating. Avery and Charlotte looooved the carousel.
Me and my girl on the carousel.
I think we rode it like 8-9 times.
The girls getting ready to go ice skating.
Me and Avery with Charlotte and her dad.
My friend Allison (Charlotte's mom) stayed outside the rink with our babies.
The girls liked it for about 3 minutes and then wanted to be done.
It was a pretty good workout for me to be trying to keep my own balance and compensating for Avery's lack of balance. I can't say I was too disappointed she wanted to give up so soon.
Taking a little break. I tried to convince Avery to come back out with me for another try but she wasn't interested.
We set up our Christmas decorations on Thanksgiving while we were stuck at home. This felt Christmas tree is such a cute idea but in reality all the felt pieces are on the floor 100% of the time. Anytime Kendall walks by it and sees the ornaments back on the tree she furiously swipes them all back down again.
(Also, pantless Avery wearing high heels... par for the course.)
Avery was surprisingly helpful with setting up the Christmas tree. I would put a hook on an ornament and she would hang it up for me. She worked on it with me for probably twenty minutes! When I checked on her work I found this cluster of 6 balls all together so I had to do a little quality control, but overall not bad!
After a while she got distracted playing with the ornaments. Avery loves little figurines and likes to have pretend conversations with them.
And that was our week! Next up... Kendall's 1st birthday!!!
