Tyler had this last week off of work and it was so nice to be able spend some time with him. We had a little "stay-cation" and just did some fun things around town and then went down to Galveston to visit our friends over the weekend. The week went by way too fast and we are all sad that he has to go back to work tomorrow :( Here is what we did with Daddy's week off!
But first, a picture of this little cutie holding her baby. Kendall is still so little to be walking around! We think she is so adorable.
Avery wanted to "hold baby Kennel on my lap"
We went bowling with our friends the Boyacks. Avery was pretty into it!
Poor Kendall had a fever for a couple days and was super snuggly and sleepy. She missed all the bowling fun. Also I have too many pictures like these. I can't resist a squishy face Kendall. I probably only post like 1 in 10 of the ones I take.
I think Avery's highlight of the week was going to the trampoline park. She loved it and has asked to go back every day since we went.
Kendall was pretty into it too. She figured out how to bounce pretty good. If I ever figure out how to put a video on here you could experience the cuteness for yourself.
Avery loved jumping in the foam pit.
For preschool this week we went to a fire station. Avery is touching the fire hose.
All the kids.
Kendall at the park.
After I put Avery to bed one night I noticed she had set up her princesses on the blocks like they were in little chairs. I though it was so cute.
We drove to Katy on Friday and stayed with our friends, the Poulsens. It was so fun to catch up with them and the Paynes who came over too. We miss all of our friends from Galveston so much. It was just like old times sitting around and talking. I wish we could get together more often!
Avery all cozied up with Liz watching a show on her ipad.
Avery and Ella. Such big girls now!
I decided I wasn't going to fight with Avery about going to bed so I just let her stay up until we went to bed (past 11...) She entertained herself coloring at the table. I thought she looked so sweet over there by herself.
She even got Liz's mom in on the action when she got home from the movies.
I heard her over there telling Sally "My Grandma lives in Colorado!"
The next day we drove the rest of the way to Galveston and met up with some of our friends who still live there. I think going back made me more homesick than I realized I was. I miss these girls so much!
I can't believe how much our babies have grown!
We let the girls check out the beach. It was pretty windy so we didn't stay too long, but it was fun to let them run around for a few minutes.
Petting the dog at the soccer game.
We got to play volleyball again!
Missing some of the regulars who have moved away, but we had a pretty good turnout!
Avery and Kendall playing with Sydney's dollhouse before we left to drive back. They were so cute playing together we let them play a few extra minutes even though we were all ready to go. I hope to see more of this in the future...
Avery in the car all set up with her movie and baby keeping her company. We were able to make the 4.5 hour drive back home with no stops!
Avery and Kendall were pretty terrible during the whole trip so we were ready to get home and be done with it! Why is traveling with kids so hard?! Avery was whining and fussy the whole time even when we were doing things she would normally think were so fun. Her bad attitude definitely put a damper on the trip, but we are still really glad we got to go and visit.
Playing princesses with Daddy before bed.
We are sad Tyler's week off is over already... He doesn't have very many days off the next couple months so this was kind of it for us. But it was fun while it lasted!
