This has been the most exciting week of all of Med School! We were so excited to receive the email on Monday that notified Tyler that he matched into an Emergency Medicine program. I felt like that was the bigger day, even though finding out where you're going is more exciting. I was just glad to know that we would be going somewhere!!
Once we knew Tyler matched, we were able to relax and enjoy the festivities of the week. On Tuesday we we went to a dinner. Wednesday we went bowling. We took Kendall and barely even had to hold her because all the students were passing her around.
Tyler is very proud of his 158. I don't know why I can't convince him to take me bowling more often.
Friday morning they had a breakfast before the match ceremony. We were so excited we barely slept the night before! It was agony waiting for 11:00am to roll around.

My friend Lizzie took pictures the whole time we were opening the letter. Tyler was the first one called down and made a little show of having Avery put the dollar in the bucket. (It's tradition for every student to add a dollar to the bucket when they are called down. The last student called gets all the money as a consolation for having to wait the whole time.) The audience loved it :)
I was so excited, I could barely wait for Tyler to come back up to our seats!
He bought some flowers for me and hid them down at the front so he could surprise me with them when he got his letter. It was really sweet, but the gesture was a bit lost in all the excitement. I barely noticed them! But thanks for the thought, honey :)

And then I flipped out and started crying when I saw we got our first choice!
I'm still in shock!!
We're moving to Fort Worth!
The next day they have a formal dinner and dance aka Med School Prom.

On the way home we stopped and bought a few newspapers since we made the front page that day!
We're taking these little cuties to Fort Worth!
We are so excited to move on to the next phase of this very long journey!

So excited to have you up in this neck of the woods! You'll love it. We're happy to watch your girls if you need it while house hunting/apartment hunting. Not the most convenient to Fort Worth but free! :)

I had tears in my eyes as I saw your emotions as you found out where you were all going. So wonderful! And your dress is darling! Love the "Prom pose" Haha!
P.S. And I LOVED Tyler's sweet thoughtfulness to bring flowers for you!!! So, SO thoughtful!!!!!
