Trying to enjoy the journey

These last few months of medical school have been amazing. Tyler front loaded his 4th year schedule so he is taking easy electives the rest of the year. Most weeks he goes to school for 2 hours. Literally. 2 hours!!! It's awesome. Also, he's had two classes where he has to watch movies to discuss so we get to have movie night for "homework".

It sounds great, but the upcoming Match Day on March 20 is making me SO anxious for time to pass! I know I should be enjoying all this down time, but it is driving me mad that I can't be making any plans for our impending move in June!! Sometimes I try to look up housing for our first few places on the list, but there's so much to sort through and it might all be for naught anyway if we don't match there so it's kind of discouraging.

Anyway, here's a little bit of what we've been up to while we wait for the big day.

Avery and daddy wearing matching Super cross hats!
(I survived Tyler's trip, but we were glad to have him home!)

Avery loves to take care of her baby while we take care of Kendall. She likes to follow us around and bounce her baby just like we do to get Kendall to sleep.

Kendall with my friend's baby, Molly. What a difference 6 weeks makes!
I'm sure they were pals up in heaven just a few short weeks ago :)

Kisses from Daddy.

We went to the zoo! The weather was perfect. The Lions were ferocious. The giraffes were tall. The fish were swimming. It was a good day.

Avery got to meet a chinchilla. It was "smoove".

Daddy crawled through the piranha tank with her.

This is what it looks like from the outside. I was impressed she went through! Avery can be pretty cautious.

Avery watching Curious George while I took a shower.
How cute is this pose?

Valentine's dinner fundraiser hosted by the YW. Can I tell you how much I enjoyed not being in charge of this event? It was lovely.

Avery ran around with the other kids the whole time. She loves to be a big kid.

Avery with her buddy, Ava. I have no idea how Ava's skirt got on her, but I love how much they love each other.

Me and Kendall before church today.
She is wearing a dress my great grandmother made for me and I wore when I was a baby!

We tried out Kendall in the Bumbo today for the first time. She liked it!
My life may have just gotten a whole lot easier...

These pictures are awesome! Chandra, good job on posting them. Not sure how you found the time. Glad to hear you are feeling more rested. We love to see you all. Avery looks so grown up and Kendall is growing so fast. Can't wait to get out there to be with you! - Brent
