9 months

Miss Avery is 9 months old! She had her doctor's appointment today and she is still topping the charts.

Weight: 20 lb 13 oz (80%ile)
Height: 27.7 in (50%ile)
Head circumference: 17.5 (63%ile)

She is big! But not so big that the doctor's are telling me she's fat (like they did at her 2 month appointment...:( )

Today was the first time Tyler got to come to a check up appointment with us since he had just worked the night shift at the hospital. Luckily no one got hurt so he got to sleep most of the night and didn't have to waste a whole day in bed. Yay!
Playing in the waiting room.

The most notable difference with Avery this month is that she learned to crawl! Hallelujah! All the old people kept telling me I would hate it when she figured that out, but our life is sooo much better. She used to just cry because she couldn't get where she wanted to go, but now she can! It still shocks me to see her little head poking around a corner when she's trying to find me. I'm still used to her staying where I put her down! It's really fun though and I love it.

This was when she was still backing up when she was trying to crawl.
Sometimes she would get herself stuck in some tight places.

She is getting really good at walking too. She cruises around on the furniture and walks easily with our help. She is getting good at walking with just one hand of support.

One of her favorite activities right now is pulling all of her clothes out of her dresser. I'm giving up on trying to fold them when I put them back in.
Fine, have wrinkly clothes if that's how you like it.

Now she's always standing when we go to get her up from her naps. We had to move the crib bed down when we got back from vacation.

She has become lots more smiley and giggley which is so fun. She loves to play games with us and kick balls as she walks around. She has gotten really snuggly especially when it's nap time and is getting more clingy to me around strangers.

She's really into eyelashes lately. She's always trying to pull them off of our eyelids. It hurts.

Some pictures in the snow from when we were in CO.

Watching Daddy catch a snowflake.

Avery looking so grown up in a cardigan!

Tyler trying to gross me out by making Avery chew on these fake cockroaches he got for the joke he played on me a couple years ago.

This is tonight. We watched Frozen on Tyler's laptop since our dvd player is broken. What a cute movie. Avery was glued.

We love this little person!

I'm with you, Chandra. I think it's easier once they learn to crawl because they can get where they want to go by themselves and can follow you. They're happier and that makes you happier. :)
