14 weeks

We just got back from my baby doctor appointment and can I just say, I was right. The doctor did some measurements on the baby today and told me I was about 14.5 weeks. Our last appointment he was estimating I was 2-4 weeks behind where I thought I was and I just didn't think that was right so I was excited to go to our appointment today and get the measurements taken.

Turns out I know more than the doctor:)

But more importantly than that, he gave us our due date!

And the magic number is....

April 27th!

Wowza, that is soon! That's about a week sooner than I was guessing. I realize it's all still an estimate anyway so we'll see when the baby actually makes an appearance. I'm still hoping for a May baby. Time will tell!

Ok, but this baby appointment was seriously so fun. We got to see the little guy in there and he was moving around! Tyler could see it better than I could since I was laying on the table, but he said he was squirming all around and kicking his little legs. And he waved at us! 

The doctor was showing us all the little parts of his body and that little guy was moving! It was so fun!

Jason, if you're reading this and we're wrong, we don't need any radiologists bursting our bubble about his little hand, just let us think what we want to!

And I finally had Tyler take a picture of my baby belly. I haven't done it before now because there really isn't much to show, but I am starting to pudge out a little bit.

I haven't gained any weight from my last dr appointment 4 weeks ago so the nurse told me to get on that. No problemo.

Also, on a completed unrelated topic I have to tell you about a really mean trick Tyler played on me on Halloween.

I woke up kinda early on Halloween because I had to pee (that happens all the time these days), and when I went into the bathroom I saw 2 HUGE cockroaches on the sink and 1 on the mirror. 

More than anything else about living here, I hate the cockroaches. They are so disgusting. Unfortunately they are just a part of living in Texas.

We see them now and again in our apartment, but usually they are really tiny. The biggest ones I've seen are like an inch. Gross, but still squashable.

But these guys in my bathroom were the big whoppers that I've only ever seen outside.

Way too big to squash because they're guts would get everywhere.

ew, ew ,ew!! I'm still grossed out thinking about it!

I was still half asleep so I wasn't thinking very clearly, but I assumed these bugs had gotten in because we'd opened our window the night before for the first time in forever.

I really needed to use the bathroom but there was no way I was going to go with who knows how many more cockroaches lurking in the dark. And I didn't want to turn on the light because then they would move.

So I came back out to our bedroom all distraught and woke Tyler up to tell him we had a cockroach infestation. 

I can't describe how upset I was about this development. I had no idea what we were going to do with them.

Well Tyler gets up and goes to investigate and then picks one up and throws it at me!!!... and says "happy halloween!"

And then I realized they were fake and he put them there just to trick me on Halloween.

Ah, what a punk. 

Good trick, honey. I'll get you next year.
