After Tyler took STEP 1 we flew to Colorado to visit my family.
My little brother was about to leave on his mission to Brazil so my parents wanted to get the family together one last time before he left for 2 years.
My brother flew in from the east coast for the weekend and my older brother and his wife came over from Utah.
We took the opportunity of having the whole family together to bless Avery.
It was the same Sunday my little brother gave his farewell talk so that was kind of neat.
Avery was blessed in the same dress I wore when I was blessed as a baby.
My mom made the dress from leftover material from her wedding dress.
She's kept the baby blessing dress in her ceder chest all these years and it was still in really good condition. It was fun to get it out and have Avery wear it.

She was perfect for the blessing and didn't make a peep, but pretty soon after she got all squawky so Tyler ended up sitting out in the foyer with her for most of Sacrament meeting.

Just catching up on your blog now...glad it was a good experience. What a cool memory to have Avery blessed in the same dress. Save it for her daughter!
