My pictures are all out of order, but I'm too lazy to fix them. There are so many! It's been so long since I've posted an update! Here's what we've been up to the last couple months.
We went to CO for Thanksgiving and went to a walking light show. It was very chilly so we all bundled up in our winter snow gear.
The lights were pretty but we all agreed the one we went to last year was better.
Our Thanksgiving spread. Cody and Camila and baby Jay also drove over from Utah.
The kids table.
(even though they hardly ate anything because everyone was sick)
In keeping with Hedman tradition we were all sick on Thanksgiving. 3 years in a row now.
Thankfully, no one was barfing, but everyone was feverish and lethargic for days. It made for a very relaxing Thanksgiving. We had to cancel plans with my Grandma and cousins so we didn't share the germs so we mostly stayed home and watched movies/played games.
Grandma bundled Reagan up nicely in the kitchen
A few weeks before thanksgiving we went to the Orem Temple open house with Cody and Camila and my mom. I loved the decor they chose - it might be my favorite one! It was fun to go through with the kids. None of them have every been in a temple before so we went slow and taught them about what happens in each of the rooms.
Tyler wanted to teach Avery and Kendall how to play Settlers of Catan. It went better than I expected lol - Kendall won!
Sledding on a hill right by our house!
Reagan lost her tooth at Trevor and Natalie's hotel!
We ended our fun day with them swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub.
It felt good after a long day of activities!
The cousins had tons of fun playing together.
We visited the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point.
Very impressive displays!
Lunch at Cafe Rio!
We also went to the Museum of Natural Curiosity.
It was so nice of Natalie's mom to get us in for free! The kids loved playing together and the grown ups got to chat and catch up.
Built a tower up to the ceiling in the Lego room.
We had the best time seeing them!
35 degrees and Sawyer wanted to sunbath outside. He has adjusted to the climate.
For Kendall's birthday we went to the trampoline park!
She is 9 now!
She requested cinnamon rolls for her bday treat and I found a birthday cake version on Sallys Baking Addiction so we tried those and every agreed they were delicious!
Sawyer helped me pick out donuts to take into Kendall's class.
We showed up right when the class was singing her happy birthday so it worked out perfectly!
Breakfast pancakes! We love our girl!
Our first snow!
I'm sure I will get sick of shoveling but so far it's been kind of peaceful and relaxing! Like going on a jog.
Had to buy a new dishwasher. It's been a whole nightmare and we were without one for 6 weeks.
Paper goods to the rescue! But still lots of handwashing was needed.
Tyler saved us $200 by installing the dishwasher himself. My hero!
More Thanksgiving pictures.
Reagan has become more interested in learning how to play board games.
Grandma and Grandpa taught her how to play sequence.
Sawyer at the light walk
Reagan has been asking since the summer to get her ears pierced. We told her she could do it for her 6th birthday. We did it in CO so Grandma and Grandpa could come. She was so excited and nervous! Happy with the result!
Being so brave!
She had quite the support group.
My dad works at a company that makes mannequins.
He brought home a child sized on for the kids. They love to dress it up.
With their new friend lol
Thanks Grandpa!
Unboxing the big gift.
Sawyer with a big present from Grandpa.
My parents did a taste test with Blue Bell vanilla and Kirkland brand vanilla (because they are trying to convince us that Kirkland is just as good lol). We could easily tell which one was Blue Bell but Kirkland was also delicious so we are happy to have another good option since we can't get our beloved Blue Bell anymore. Our ice cream consumption has gone way down since moving to Utah lol
I started working again! My old boss from 10 years ago contacted me and asked if I would be interested in working part-time for them again as a health coach. It's super part-time, I only work when Sawyer is at preschool and it's really fun to get to be a professional again for a few hours each week and still be available for my family. They asked me if I had time to do some onboarding meetings while we were in CO so my dad set me up in his office (notice the mannequin) so I could have my meeting without interruption.
We didn't plan it, but ended up meeting up with C&C at McDonald's on the way to Denver for thanksgiving. That was fun!
Before we went to Denver Tommy came to visit us!
Sawyer liked playing mario kart with Dad and Uncle Kevin
Family dinner on Sunday with Kevin and Mariah! Super fun!
Already have seen them twice since moving here!
They came to church with us. (Tyler had to work)
Uncle Kev playing Spot It with the littles.
Reagan, Sawyer, and Tommy were the cutest and played really well together.
We keep forgetting Tommy is only 2 because he is the same size as Sawyer.
We tried Crispy Cones in Logan after we watched their episode on Shark Tank.
Mariah knows the owner!
Tom Sawyer together again. They had fun chasing each other around.
We thought Avery broke her foot after falling off a jungle gym. You can see how puffy it is.
Tyler took her in to the ER and couldn't see anything on an ultrasound so we were hoping it would be ok. He got her some crutches and a boot and it has healed up nicely, but it took a couple weeks.
We organized our garage!
We are mostly excited about our ski rack!
Avery going to church with her crutches
Tyler volunteered in Sawyer's preschool one day to teach them about being a doctor.
They all got bandaged up!
Super fun dad!
On Reagan's birthday she was the Superstar at school.
I got to come in and tell the class all about Reagan's favorite things and read them her favorite story.
It was so cute and she loved being the center of attention. At the end the teacher has the Superstar run through a tunnel of their classmates. The teacher knows how to make the kids feel special - Reagan loved her special day!
Reagan requested chocolate zucchini cake for her bday cake.
Opening her present from Grandma/Grandpa Hedman! I think she likes it!
Reagan chose CFA for her bday dinner.
She wanted to go roller skating at the Fun Park for her birthday.
3 sisters <3
We finally got to tour Tyler's new hospital.
They had a dummy there to practice on so he taught them some rescue breathing techniques.
Where he does all his notes.
Picking up Sawyer from school on the dirtbike!
(don't worry, it's like 2 blocks away, we usually just walk)
Reagan wanted a build-a-bear for her bday. Kendall came with us.
From Halloween. The Pumpkin Man visited us and Kendall was *terrified*
Sorting our candy!
About to head out for trick-or-treating
From our visit to the Orem Temple/BYU. Went to the bookstore.
Picture in front of the Y.
They have done a ton of construction! 9th street is just gone!
Ate at the Cannon Center!
(Camila's uncle from Brazil is currently living with them and he tagged along for the day)
Pic with all of us in the lobby of their hotel. We had a great day together.
Sorry the pics are all out of order but that is what we have been up to!
