Steamboat Springs

Everyone was so excited to see Daddy after being apart for 2.5 weeks.

Avery recruited Tyler to the bunny catchers team and HE CAUGHT A BUNNY!

I still don't know how he did it!

Avery had been trying to catch one every day since we got there and she was sooo excited! 

We let Sawyer meet the bunny.

After the bunny calmed down it let the kids hold it.

The one terrible part of the trip was having to sleep with Sawyer in my room. He woke up 3-4 times every night. By 5am I usually just brought him in to bed with me.

We went for a hike in Boulder!

The kids complained at first but once we got up in the trees everyone liked it.

We got to swim in Bryce and Jessie's hotel pool.

We got Dad a new golf bag for his bday!

I also made him a homemade German Chocolate cake.

The cake did not come out of the pans well at all and it was probably the worst baking disaster I've had to date. It was a very ugly cake. Still tasted good tho!

We met up with everyone is Steamboat Springs!

The first thing we did was a mini hike down to a waterfall and creek.

The kids loved playing in the stream.

Uncle Kent was super fun with all the kids and especially baby Sawyer!

He is going to make a great dad (in December!)

Reagan is always throwing rocks.

We took the ski lift up to ride the alpine slide.

Kendall was my ride buddy!

Avery was old enough for her own slide!

He said she was so cute and said "weeee!" the whole ride down. lol!

Went on a hike to a meadow.

Kendall and Reagan were awesome hikers this time!

(Avery chose to stay home with sick Dad and not go on the hike)

We also checked out the local hot springs pool.

Lots of uncles to jump to.

Aunt Jessie played with Sawyer for a long time.

Avery tried out the climbing wall.

Kendall and Aunt Camila had matching shorts one day!

The girls (especially Kendall) loooove their new aunt.

If this isn't childhood at it's finest, I don't know what is.

Everyone's favorite activity was the bike ride we took along the Yampa river.

Tyler pulled Kendall and Reagan in a trailer and Kent was a trooper and wore Sawyer in the backpack. It's really handy having so many uncle helpers!

We had the best time in the mountains and then hit horrible traffic on the way back to Denver. My bothers both missed their flights home. Avery and Kendall threw up in the car. Sawyer screamed. 

We got to see my cousins and aunt and uncle who were driving through.

And we finally made it back home!

We've been having to baby proof the house. When we left Sawyer was barely starting to crawl. Now he gets into everything!

Avery caught a baby bird and nursed it back to health.

We had a couple kiwi crates to catch up on.

This one was all about the body!

In the other one they made a sweeper tool to pick up stuff like a baleen whale.

(Looks like we will be learning all of our science lessons from kiwi crate and not in school this year....:()

We had a huge rainstorm and the streets flooded.

The kids had fun playing in the water.

Avery helped me chop zucchini for dinner.

Now we are getting prepped for our Destin trip with the cousins!
