Fun in Colorado

We survived the 8 hour drive from Salt Lake to Denver.
We stopped in Glenwood Springs to take the kids swimming at the hot springs pool. It was a big hit with everyone!

Avery and Kendall finally got to try out their new mermaid tails.
(Avery bought hers with her dog sitting money)

We made it to Grammy's house and the first thing they did was get out the zoo playmobile. It's their favorite toy! Kendall talks about it all the time and asks when we can to Grammy's house to play with it.

Lots of walks around the neighborhood in the wagon.

Bubble baths in Grammy's tub.

Sawyer has mastered the stairs while we've been here.
He also hates diaper changes now and tries to escape every time I change him.

I get to go for jogs in the morning with beautiful mountain views.

Lots of Grammy snuggles.

The next weekend we drove the kids back up to Glenwood so Grandpa could take them rafting.

Gorgeous views in the canyon.

Sawyer screamed bloody murder with his life jacket on.
After I took it off he loved it.

Kendall was nervous at first, but soon she was up on the front of the boat riding the waves with Avery.

A great day on the river.

Avery tried out the oars.

Gma on baby duty.

It was over too soon. The kids played in the water while we packed up the gear.

After rafting we got to swim at the pool again.
And this time the Andersons (from med school) came and swam with us!
Avery and Raleigh hit it off right away.

The girls love swimming with Grandpa.
Kendall is being pretend mad in the picture.

It was so fun to see the Andersons again and catch up!
We were all sad Tyler wasn't there too.

For Father's Day I got my dad a swing for their backyard.
It's been a big hit with the kids. They've played on it for hours.

We explored Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs.
Sawyer was a cute hiking buddy.

Reagan is always cheesing for the camera.

Lots of cool nooks to explore.

I love my girls.

Grandpa took a turn with Sawyer.

I was having fun playing around with portrait mode on my mom's iphone
so I took lots of pics of the kids.

Colorado is so beautiful.
Being here made me a little sad Tyler didn't get the Colorado Springs job.

I hope these sisters have good memories of this summer together.

We had a picnic playdate at the park with my extended family.
Sawyer was very interested in my cousin's baby.

Avery and Rhett always have a good time playing together any time we meet up. I love that Avery gets along so well with everyone. It's one of her strengths.

Avery asked me if we could do a photoshoot at the park in her new dress. (what??)
But it was fun to play with my mom's phone camera.

This is my favorite shot.
I think she's ready for America's Next Top Model.

They got a fun pool for the backyard.

We went to the zoo. Great Grandma Chandler joined us.

Avery took like 300 pictures of animals on my phone, but I'll spare you those.

Picking vegetables from Grandma's garden!
They loved eating the sugar snap peas. (even Kendall!)

On the 4th we had a low key BBQ at my uncle and aunt's house.
More fun playing with the kid cousins and hanging out in the hammock with Grandpa.

Avery and Rhett found lots of toys to keep them busy.

Sawyer is 10 months old!

My high school friend was in town visiting her parents too.
We met up for a play date at the park and had fun catching up.

Took the girls to get their hair cut by my friend who did my wedding hair.
They loved it!

Reagan got her first hair cut!

They look so cute with their short hair!

Gma treated them to Bahama Bucks afterward.

I helped my Grandma ship her old rifle to Tyler in Texas.
When Tyler went to pick it up it was broken. We are all super bummed and now we get to fight with FedEx about replacing our irreplaceable gun.

We checked out the Denver Aquarium.
The kids had a great time and it was super fun to get Sawyer right up next to the glass. He thought the fish were going to get him!

Sawfish!

We got to pet Stingrays!

Tylers arrives tomorrow! Hooray!

Wow. What fun adventures. Colorado in the summer and Texas in the winter is a pretty good deal.

P.S. Reagan's "cheesy" grin reminded me so much of Tracy! So cute!!
