I haven't had any motivation to blog lately, but I'm going to try and get back to it. Here's a little recap of our summer.
Last day of 23rd grade!
Celebration when he got home!
Last shift!
Since starting his new job we have spent a lot of time setting up insurance: life insurance, health insurance, malpractice insurance, disability insurance. We had to have a nurse come visit us and do some testing.
I took this pic to mark the first time I had to buy diapers for Reagan. We made it to 9 months on diapers from my shower!
4th of July party with friends.
4 days free from residency! We felt very independent this year!
Avery had a blast with the sparklers.
Tyler surprised me with the best birthday ever. I had really low expectations because my birthday was on a Sunday (lame) and Tyler had to work. Sundays are tons of work for me with my calling and my kids and I'm usually alone.
When we left for church at 1 the house was a disaster and I had no plans for dinner (probably Kraft mac and cheese). When we got home Tyler had cleaned the whole house - like really good clean, not just stuff pushed to the corners... dishes in the dishwasher, not just the sink... swept/vacuumed, everything!
And he left me birthday notes and fresh flowers on the counter.
BEST BIRTHDAY EVER!
....and then I texted him at work to tell him thanks for my huge surprise and he said "did you check the fridge yet?" And I opened the fridge to my favorite Papa Murphy's pizza! Hooray for not cooking dinner!!!
So I texted him thank you for that and he said "well did you check the freezer...?" and I opened the freezer to a well-stocked supply of my favorite Blue Bell flavors! Seriously?! This man knows my love language.
It ended up being a pretty great birthday!
Avery and Kendall took swim lessons in someone's backyard this summer.
Avery finally learned to swim on her own. Hooray!
And Kendall will put her ears in the water!
Avery's favorite part of swim lessons was getting to play with the kittens while Kendall had her lesson.
We went to Bear Lake!
We need to escape the Texas heat every summer! The weather was beautiful and we had a blast hanging with family.
A quick stop at temple square before we flew home.
Avery started Kindergarten!
She has been doing great!
We went to Iceland!
This trip needs it's own post.
Kendall started preschool!
She loves going to school just like her big sister.
I'm really glad she has Avery for a big sister. Kendall is much braver because she sees Avery doing all the same things. She's familiar with Avery's old preschool and I think that has made it a lot easier on her.
Kendall and Jaxon are in the same gymnastics class!
Kendall looooves gymnastics.
Alphabet Day at Kindergarten!
Avery dressed up as an apple tree for the letter A!
Tyler's birthday!
We had lots of presents and good food!
Our friends from Med school came to visit us.
It was so fun catching up.
Avery started gymnastics at a new gym closer to us.
She's loving it and super happy to be back in gymnastics.
Reagan loves to watch.
We are in the market for a house!
I have been spending a lot of time on zillow lately and I go look at houses sometimes. Nothing has been a home run yet.
