Kendall's Birthday

We had the best time celebrating Kendall turning TWO this past week! I'm still in shock that she's two already. Time goes waaaay faster with your second kid. Avery was looking forward to Kendall's birthday as much as Kendall I think. She was so excited to help her open her presents and sing her Happy Birthday. Kendall kept saying on repeat: "On my next birtday I'm gonna be TWOOOO"

Avery loved helping me with all the party prep. She's really starting to enjoy helping me in the kitchen and setting the table and stuff like that. It's really fun.
I love her cheesy grin.

We made Kendall a butterfly cake and Avery loved helping decorate it.

Showing Kendall her cake. "A butterfwy!!!" She liked it :)

I was having a little too much fun taking selfies with these cuties. Their faces are too funny! (Kendall, bottom left! haha!)

We had our friends the Bodilys over for cake and presents. It was the perfect amount of people for Kendall. She gets a little anxious with big crowds, but I still wanted it to feel a little like a party for her. Tyler brought home some party hats that made it extra fun.

Kendall loved getting sung too and blowing out her bday candles!

The kids enjoying their cake. I love that they kept their party hats on!

Time for presents! What Avery had been looking forward to all week!

It took Kendall a couple minutes to figure out the wrapping paper, but she got the hang of it and now I think she's all warmed up for Christmas.

Daddy helped with all the packaging. He's always good for a knife.

Also, toy assembly.

I just loved Kendall's face in this one. She was so happy!
She loved all her presents and Avery has been really good about not stealing all of Kendall's new toys from her. She respects that they are "Kendall's Birthday Toys". It was really fun and I was so glad Tyler was home that night to celebrate with us.

Our two-year-old!

Playing happily with her new toys while I did my exercise the next morning.

Loving her Daniel Tiger trolley.

Kendall wearing Avery's old coat. How is she so big all of a sudden?!

Snuggled in with Daddy. One her her favorite past times.

One of her favorite things to do right now is spread her arms out as wide as they go and belt out a song. It's sooo funny!

We got out our cold clothes and Kendall is wearing Avery's old clothes. I can't get over it. Wasn't Avery JUST wearing these??

Kendall: I wanna take a nap wif Daaadyyy
*doesn't actually take a nap*

Making Christmas treats with Daddy!

We also snuck in a trip to the zoo with Daddy. It was a frigid 34 degrees, but we had a blast!

Now for the next 4 months I get to tell people I have a 3 year old AND a two year old and watch their eyes get all big.
We are loving our sweet Kendall and watching her personality come out. Her favorite things are singing songs and reading books. She adores Avery and follows her everywhere. They play together all day long. She's still a big snuggler and loves to be held and cuddled. She talks freakishly well for her age. She speaks in full sentences and people other than me can understand the majority of what she says. She loves puppies and dinosaurs and My Little Ponies. She is learning to hold her own against Avery and screams A LOT right now, which is pretty much my one complaint about her. She really is a sweetheart and brings us a lot of joy. We love our Kendall baby! Happy Birthday, cutie!

What a sweet, sweet little one!!!! You and Tyler and our family are so blessed to have her in our lives! I LOVE all the pictures of her cute littel facial expressions-especially the one on "the bottom left." Thanks for sharing such wonderful events with us!! It's ALMOST as good as being there!
