My mom came to visit for the last week of October and it's a good thing she did. I never would have made it through all of our Halloween activities without her!
We had a really busy week: visiting the pumpkin patch, Boo at the Zoo, a Witches Tea, trick-or-treating at the nursing home, the ward trunk-or-treat, plus actual Halloween! I've never had such an eventful Halloween.
But first, a picture of Kendall's adorable pony tail. How is she so big??
We love this pumpkin patch. They have all of these characters for the kids to take pictures with. The kids had so much fun running around finding their favorite characters.
Avery still loves Snow White. I guess she's not afraid of the wooden version.
Princess Sofia!
Kendall on a pumpkin.
Hay ride!
Obligatory pumpkin patch picture.
Painting pumpkins. The girls really loved this. Avery is always asking me if she can paint and its always such a big mess I don't let her do it that often.
Playing carnival games at Boo at the Zoo. They both had lots of fun but I'm so glad my mom was there. It would have been hard to keep track of both of them with all the craziness.
Going into the nursing home for trick-or-treating. This was easily my favorite activity. The girls loved it and it was so sweet to see the interaction between the residents and the kids.
Trick-or-treat!
Two fairies.
Kendall was so sweet with this lady. They stared at each other for like 5 minutes while the lady patted Kendall's hand. It was so precious.
We went with our friends the Bodilys.
Getting donuts before our witches tea.
Our friends hosted a Witches Tea for some moms and their girls. It was so cute and fun. Everyone dressed up as a witch and we had Halloween food and the girls even had to solve the mystery of whole stole the Halloween treats!
Avery wanted to be a superhero for the ward truck-or-treat.
They had a couple bouncy houses and a scare room and activities for the little kids.
Kendall's squishy face in church. Avery thought this was hilarious.
Avery buried Kendall in my shoes.
We took our traditional trip to Magnolia Market! They had the bakery and seed store open this time. It was really fun!
The girls were pretty good in the store.
They played under here while we picked out ornaments.
When they were sick of the shopping we took them outside to play.
A train went by while we were eating cupcakes at the bakery. Kendall was so cute covering up her ears.
I love shopping MM with my mom!
Two little fairies ready for trick-or-treating on Halloween!
I took a hundred pictures and didn't get them both smiling and looking in a single one. They were pretty burned out on trick-or-treating by the time Halloween rolled around. We just went around our block and called it good.
We caught another gecko on Halloween night.
And we made it through the SICU rotation!! We have been so excited for November!!
