My mom was able to come for another visit while Tyler is on his busy ICU month. Last time she came Tyler was on an easier schedule so he and I went on a lot of dates. Since Tyler has been working nonstop this month, this visit I went on lots of girl dates with my friends. Bunco, baby showers, shopping trips, birthday dinners, and I even drove down to Galveston for a visit. It was awesome! Of course it was great having Mom around and the girls were in heaven with a nonstop playmate.
We made Welcome signs for Grammy!
On the way back from the airport we stopped to ride the carousel at the mall. Avery LOVES this activity.
Kendall just likes to ride on the seat. She is definitely my timid child.
Holding hands.
Breakfast at Paul's!
Avery serenading the whole restaurant.
After she got bored of our company Avery went to eat breakfast with this guy. He works at Paul's and recognized Avery from our other visits. She chattered away at him while he ate his breakfast. He was very nice about it and kept asking her questions.
Visiting Happy Lark, an indoor play place for the kids.
Avery was scared watching her show.
Good thing Grammy was here to snuggle her.
I took a quick trip down to Galveston for my friend's baby shower!
5 hours of just listening to my book... bliss!
Loved, loved, loved seeing all of these girls again!
It was totally worth the trip. I wish we could get together more often.
I also stopped by to see one of my young women who had a baby a week ago.
She is doing so great and the baby was so adorable!
I was able to give her a ride to the hospital to get her staples out from her C-section.
I made it back from Galveston just in time to take Avery to her friend's birthday party! The weather was perfect for playing in the pool in the backyard.
Kendall loved jumping on the trampoline.
So tired...
We've been here in Fort Worth for a year now!
Here's Kendall a year ago and now.
Avery a year ago and now. You can tell she's losing her baby chub.
I found a super cute new bunk bed on a BST page for the area. I sold the other one we got to my friend and we bought this new one.
Kendall's helping Tyler put it together.
We just set up one of the beds for now, but the other one is ready for Kendall when she gets big enough!
Avery drew a person! I've never seen her do it before, but my mom was coloring with them out on the porch and she said she did it all by herself!
I went out for a birthday dinner with some of my girlfriends. We ordered this chocolate pinata. You break open the chocolate ball and....
Fruit and churros fall out! It was super yummy.
A little tv after bath time.
Puzzles with Gma.
Avery is getting pretty good at puzzles and really likes doing them.
Playing games on grammy's phone.
Making a pie crust for our strawberry pie.
Always playing princesses.... ALWAYS.
I just got a pass to the Children's museum downtown so we went to check it out together. This will be another great activity for the summer.
Kendall looks so cute walking with her daddy.
Riding a horse and herding cattle.
Tyler herding cattle.
Another birthday party!
Avery loves singing Happy Birthday and blowing out the candles.
Story time at the library. Avery made this lady bug all by herself!
