Colorado trip part 2: Avery's bday and Easter

We took Avery and Kendall swimming at the rec center when we got back from skiing. Avery is still pretty good in the water, but not as comfortable as she was last summer. Time to get swimming again! I think Tyler scarred her from ever going down the slide again because he completely dunked her the first time down.
Also, I completely neglected getting a picture of Kendall's first time in the pool! Second child problems.

A big highlight of our trip was getting to spend some time with our besties, the Hobbs! They live about an hour away from my parents so we went down and spent the night at their beautiful and spacious home. It made me super anxious to get on with our move. I think we are bonded forever from living in nasty Carleton Courtyard apartments for four years. It's nice to know there is light at the end of this very long tunnel!

It was so fun to get to hang around together like old times. Someday I hope we can be neighbors again.

My brothers and their wives came into town for Easter weekend.
We don't get to see them that often being way down here in Texas so I appreciated their effort to make the long drive over from Utah to come visit us for a couple short days.

We had them do an ice cream taste test since we had a 2-2 split with me and Tyler and my parents. Blue Bell I Heart Chocolate vs Private Selection Extreme Moose Tracks. Blue Bell won, of course.

Avery snuggling with Uncle Kent.

We celebrated Avery's birthday a couple days early so we could celebrate with the whole family.
Kent and Kenzie got Avery a lion flashlight. It roars when the light comes on and Avery was a little leery at first. Avery has been telling us "lion scary" ever since we went to the zoo.

Avery got three princess dresses this year. She has been really into dressing up lately and often asks me if she can wear her poofy church dresses so I knew these would be a big hit. Here she is modeling Elsa.

Grammy got her a Cinderella dress.
Cinderella is her favorite movie right now.

And Snow White!
Avery has worn each of her dresses every day since we've been home from Colorado. They are a big hit!

She also loves her tea set Grammy got her.

Here she is on the stairs pretending to be Elsa as she builds her ice stairs.

Dying Easter eggs with Aunt Jessie.

Easter morning waking up to Easter baskets!

Avery was slow getting started on the egg hunt. She discovered the treats inside and thought she needed to eat all the treats in each egg before she could pick up a new egg, but she soon got the hang of it.

Tyler and I... I mean the easter bunny hid some difficult eggs for the big kids.

There's one up there somewhere...

Avery did some egg hunting for Kendall too.

Grandma with her girls.

A budding pianist.

Grandparents and Granddaughters.

Avery all snuggled up with Bryce and Jessie while we watched a movie.

We tried to get some pics of Avery and Kendall in their easter dresses, but it was pretty sunny.

I was able to get all my quilt blocks done for Kendall's quilt.

My mom won the family March Madness bracket this year and the $50 to Amazon.
Tyler got second.

We flew home early on Avery's birthday. It was a long day and we were exhausted by the end, but Avery gave me one cute smile right before bed.
I can't believe we have a two-year-old!
She is definitely crazy sometimes, but mostly she is a real sweetie who loves to give hugs and kisses and take care of her baby sister and her baby dolls.
She LOVES singing and reading books and anything to do with Elsa and Anna and Cinderella.
She is a little copycat and parrots everything we say. My favorite is that she says "thanks, honey" when we help her with things.
I just love this this munchkin!
