In reverse

Let's start from today, shall we?

Today our YW sang for the musical number in Sacrament meeting.
They. Were. Amazing. I loved it.
We stayed after our meetings and sang for the Spanish branch too since half of our girls are from the branch and it was so good we got applause in the branch!  Leave it to the Mexicans to be a little unorthodox about things.
I'm so happy after church today. One of the investigators from the branch was brave and came up on the stand and sang with us even though she had only practiced once with us. And one of my YW who hasn't been to church in almost a year came to church with her dad today. It makes me so happy.
It was a good day!

Yesterday we went horseback riding with the YW. They loved it just as much as they did last year. I even got to ride this year since I'm not 8 months pregnant!

(This is me last year.... hahaha!!)

While I was out riding, the girls took about 50 selfies on my phone.
I love these girls. So much!

In other news, little miss Avery started walking! It's about time! One day she just took off and now she's a pro! It still surprises us when she comes walking around a corner on her own. Weird!

I put Avery in an outfit my mom saved from when I was her age.
Who wore it best??

Avery's favorite thing is to throw all her food on the floor. Fun game! Not!!!

I've been working on a quilt for Avery. My plan is to make it twin size for when she has a real bed. I really love how it's turning out! Not too bad for my first quilt ever.

Naked baby alert.

When she's done eating and I'm in the kitchen cleaning off her tray she always kicks back and puts her leg up like an old man.

Reading books with mommy. Right now Avery likes all the lift-a-flap books and ones where you can feel bunny's fur and stuff like that.

We had cabbage wraps for dinner... For the record, that recipe was NOT good. Pinterest fail. Instead of eating her food, Avery used it as a hat. Daddy called her a cabbage patch kid.

Working on developing her musical talents.

Avery went on her first slide. Not quite as thrilling as we had hoped.

Tyler got me a Kindle for Valentine's Day/Anniversary present!! I love it so much! Best present ever! Or as Tyler calls it - the present that keeps taking away. (because you have to buy your books...)

Mardi Gras parade. We stopped by for a few minutes after cleaning the church. Just in time to see the Corvette convention.

Happy Avery! They were playing some game.

We went to free pancake day at IHOP. It was great! Avery got her own short stack! And then we came home and everyone threw up. Seriously. It was awful and we don't eat maple syrup around here anymore.

And this little chub turned 11 months old! I thought I'd sit her down and take a few pictures and just keep the one I liked best. This never works though because I end up liking all the pictures. She is too adorable.

I can't believe she is almost 1! We are planning a super cute birthday party with her 2 friends who are also turning 1. Stay tuned for what I'm sure are going to be some of the most adorable 1-year-old birthday party pictures ever.

Avery wore it better! Gotta love that huge bow, makes all the difference in the outfit. The IHOP thing cracked me up. :) Looks like you guys are doing great! Miss you!

What a great post! It warms my heart to see the YW in the ward and the good going on there. Also, Avery is SO OLD!

And Ethan also just went on his first slide this month (deprived child?) It was also surprisingly underwhelming.

Sorry about IHOP.
