Hedman visit

The day after we got back from Colorado, Tyler's parents and little sister came to visit us in Galveston.  They wanted to meet their newest granddaughter and see where we live. I kept telling Tyler that I thought his parents would love Galveston and I was right!

When they first got here we were so excited to show off our little chunk. Check out those rolls!

Aunt Kalie with Avery!

Grandma meeting Avery for the first time.

We rented a bike and rode along the seawall.
Funny story: Avery needed to eat shortly after we started our little jaunt down the seawall. I didn't want to miss out on the fun so I just rode in back and nursed her. I neglected to bring a nursing cover so I felt a little scandalous, but thankfully it got dark pretty quick so I don't think anyone noticed!

We went for a walk on the beach.
Tyler and I are not huge fans of the beach.
It's hot and muggy and gets sand everywhere, but Tyler's parents LOVED it.
They got up early each morning and went for a jog on the beach and when they were done Tyler's dad would go for a dip in the ocean.

Riding the ferry. Avery missed the whole thing as she was, once again, nursing.

This picture with Avery and her Grandpa is so sweet.

We watched the NBA finals and I thought this picture of Tyler and Avery was so funny. She looks so grown up in this picture!! Just sitting on the couch, watching the game with her daddy!

One day Tyler took us on a tour of the school/hospitals.
Here he is in the anatomy lab with his dad showing us a skull.

This is how Avery spent most of the tour.

Swimming at our apartment pool. Avery still loves the water!

These pictures crack me up every time I look at them.
This is Avery trying out her Bumbo for the first time.
She's still not that great at holding herself up. Look at all her silly faces! haha

And I had to include this picture of us eating at Panera on the way to taking the Hedman's to the airport. We girls have been so outnumbered our whole lives and now that tables are finally turning!
(For those who don't know: Tyler has 5 boys and Kalie in his family. I am the only girl in my family with 3 brothers.)

We had a great time and we're so glad they came to visit!

P.S. Special thanks to the Hedmans for letting me steal a few pictures from their blog. Hope you don't mind. ;-)
