Come Home

Ok, so I actually went home, but I'm listening to Come Home by One Republic so that's my post title. 

Anyway, I went home for the weekend! I suppose Galveston is my home now, but home base is always where your parents are, right?

I found a cheap flight out to Denver for the weekend so I could watch my little brother compete in his State diving meet. Also so I could meet the new little puppy my parents just got!

We had such a blast. I loved just hanging out around the house and not having to worry about work or cleaning house or cooking dinner or even waking up at a reasonable hour. It was everything a vacation should be. Plus I got to be with my family. My brother and his fiancee drove over from Utah for the weekend so we had everyone home except for my brother on a mission and of course my cute hubby.

The first day I was there it was all about little miss Rue. Is she not the most adorable little puppy you've ever seen?!!

I loved holding this little puppy. Every time I put her down she just looked so dang cute walking around that I had to pick her up again! I figured I had to get it all in while I could because the next time I see her she's going to be way too big to pick up.

On Saturday we spent all day watching Cody compete in his Diving Meet. It was a long day, but worth it in the end when he came in first!

After the meet we went to Hibachi grill to celebrate!

It was a good day! And a good weekend. I got to see my cousins and Grandma at church, went out to our favorite Indian restaurant with my mom and aunt, and even took Rue out for a little shopping. I wish vacations never had to end. Good thing we have another one coming up to go visit Tyler's family in California!
