Tough... but not that tough

So remember how I won that $100 gift card like a month ago? Well, it finally arrived! After a month of waiting I was starting to think that the whole thing was a scam and they weren't ever going to send me the gift card, but it finally showed up and I've already used some of it (SHOES!) so I know the money is for reals! Horray! It's so fun to be able to go shopping completely guiltless.

I think winning this gift card makes it official that I am lucky. I don't enter contests to win stuff that often, but it seems like whenever I do, I win!

A few years ago at BYU they had a contest with the school's newspaper for students to win prizes by filling out entries from the newspaper for 2 weeks. At the end of 2 weeks they drew names for 5 prizes. Out of 16,000 entries they drew my name and I won a TV!

Yep, it's the same TV we still have in our apartment right now.

Not to mention the gym membership I won at Casino Night when we moved here to Galveston. Although, there was a little less luck involved in that. It was mostly good strategy. We put almost all of our tickets we won into that drawing and hardly any one else even entered to win that prize since students get "free" membership to the gym already. But I won and that is the point!

I'm starting to think I should have entered to win the Mega Millions Lottery this weekend! It was up to 600 million.

But anyway, on to some other things we've been up to around here...

The other day I made Tyler let me take a picture of him right when we got home from the gym. I don't think he realizes how huge his muscles are getting and I thought a picture would help him see himself from my perspective. He told me I'm not allowed to put them on the blog, but I couldn't resist :]

Tough guy, right?

Not as tough as you might think. We went to Kemah Boardwalk last weekend with our friends, the Hobbs, and I had to beg Tyler to ride the roller coaster with me and Diana. I guess I'm pretty convincing because he ended up riding it with us! It was really fast and rattled my brain around a lot, but it was so fun! Even Tyler thought so. Here are a couple pictures from our day.

In front of the Boardwalk Bullet!

Here's Jason jumping into our picture, haha.

Today we are listening to General Conference and Tyler is studying for his mid-term tomorrow between sessions. I wish it could be General Conference every week!
