1) We live a block away from campus so Tyler can walk to class every day in about 10 minutes.
2) We live a block away from the school gym which is on campus so we can walk to the gym in 2 minutes. This has been one of my HUGE favorites about living here. I LOVE having a gym membership! The gym is way bigger than the one at BYU and it's never busy when I'm there. Plus, they have a pool and racquetball courts! I am still trying to find a workout swim suit so I can start swimming again... it's been way too long. Another plus... Tyler is getting huge muscles again :)
3) We live 2 blocks from the beach. It's been really fun to walk over there every once in a while and walk along the beach. Also, I really like driving along the main road next to the beach. There are tons of lights and pedestrians crossing the street all the time, which is annoying, but I love looking out at the ocean. I still can't believe I live right next to the beach!
4) We have already made some great friends even though we've only been here a couple weeks. It's really fun to have young couples to hang out with.
5) I've noticed a lot of people in the ward here are converts to the church. I think it's really neat to hear about people's conversion stories (everyone here loves to start all their comments "I'm a convert to the Church") and hear how the Church has changed their life. I feel like my testimony has grown so much already as I am reminded of the blessing of the knowledge I have about Jesus Christ and His Gospel here on the earth.
There are a couple of things I don't like about being here. One of them is that it takes forever to get anywhere on this island because there are stoplights and stop signs on every corner. And everyone drives at 30mph which I can't figure out. Another thing I hate is that there aren't many stores around. They have a couple grocery stores and a few other stores like Walmart and Target, but most of the good ones are off the island, like a 30 minute drive away. If I have to run errands I'm going to have to plan ahead and do it all in one trip. But that's about all I can think of for the hate list. Mostly, we just love it here! I'm excited to get to know the island better and become a local!
And because no post is complete without some pictures, here are a couple.

YIKES!!! Look at the level of that "Ike" line!!! I am excited your "love list" is longer than your "hate list", can't go wrong when there's more to like! And I think your curly hair is darling!!!!
