We've had a fun week celebrating Kendall turning 8 and getting baptized!
My parents flew out for the weekend for the baptism.
Kendall's baptism day!
We are so proud of her!
Setting up our Christmas tree after the cousins left.
Our friends gave us this giant coloring page advent calendar.
I took Kendall to Old Town Burleson to get some pictures of her in her baptism dress.
She really liked getting her picture taken and wanted to keep posing even after I had plenty of good shots.
She's such a cutie!
The kids like to make a wish before they blow out the candles.
Sawyer was cracking me up. He looks so pious!
The kids helped our neighbors set up their Christmas lights.
They are so kind to the kids and love to include them and play with them.
Living on the edge. Got to the gas station with 2 miles left in my tank.
We went to the Pickle ball event for the scribes at Colonial.
We brought Kendall so I could take her to her art class which was right by it.
We've never played pickleball but it was fun and now I wish we had some courts nearby!
Action shot!
Tyler painted Bluey on Kendall's face for her bday!
We tried to make a Bluey cake with fondant. Fondant is harder than it looks!'
But we had fun!
Kendall and Bluey!
We made this cake the Saturday before her birthday and had the neighbor kids over to help us eat it.
Kendall trying on her jumpsuit for her baptism. She has been very excited to get baptized!
On her birthday (Monday) we took her chick-fil-a at school!
Reagan and Sawyer got to tag along too.
After school we planned to go ice skating, but the rink was closed for hockey practice when we got there.
So instead we decided to let Kendall get her ears pierced!
Avery was very supportive and held her hand.
She did so great and said it barely hurt at all! (Huge surprise for our sensitive girl!)
Two cuties showing off their cute earrings! They're growing up so fast!
Reagan and Sawyer being cute together cutting up apples into fun shapes.
The regular leader was sick so I helped fill in at Activity Days last week.
8-11 year old girls are extremely loud and chatty!
Story time at the library. Kendall made herself comfortable while she was cutting lol!
Kendall's baptism! Grandpa Engstrom got to baptize her!
We had good support from our ward family. Kendall is very loved.
Bishop Barnum told a story about how the Holy Ghost prompted him to go check on Kendall when she was playing at their house. She was stuck in the chicken coop!
I loved that he had a relatable story to share about how the Holy Ghost can help us. Also, that was the first time I heard about it!!
After the baptism we went to Burleson Brunch House for french toast!
We're so proud of our special girl. It's been fun spoiling her and making her feel loved.
On our way out the server compliment us on how well behaved our children were at the restaurant.
That was a first!
We had fun with Gma and Gpa while they were here. Playing games, watching movies, making a gingerbread house, facetiming with the little cousins. It was a quick visit, but we're so glad they came to celebrate Kendall with us!
Grandpa also gifted the girls with pearl earrings he got when they were in Mallorca, Spain this last summer. What a fun treasure!
The girls cozied up with their blankets and Christmas pillowcases Gma sewed for them.
Kendall holding her flowers.
More pictures from the baptism.
