Our last month

We've had a good month. Avery finished up preschool and now we just have lots of open days to fill up however we like. They had a three week break from gymnastics too and it was nice to have some unscheduled time. Things are mostly good, but lately I've been feeling like I have a lot of kids. Everybody always needs something and there is always a kid fussing about something. I feel like a spectacle every time I go out in public because I just have so much stuff and so many loud children. I should probably just stay at home more instead of trying to do all the things. Anyway...

The girls wore Mexican dresses to church for Cinco de Mayo.
Tyler got Avery's dress on his mission (for Kalie!) and now it finally fits Avery!

Church is insane for me. Every Sunday. I'm the primary chorister and I have to find various people to hold Reagan the last two hours of church. And she always has to eat at some point so I have to quickly sneak away. I usually just have to skip going into nursery. I am always ready for a three hour nap when I get home, but someone still has to look after the kids...

We finally made it over to the zoo to see the new African exhibit.
You can feed the giraffes, but I needed Tyler there to help the kids and make the whole experience last longer. They grabbed their lettuce leaves and shoved them in his mouth. I barely snapped a quick pic and it was over. Kind of a waste of $5. Maybe we'll try again next time Dad comes with us.

I'm still in love with this girl. She is the best sleeper and just an all around good natured baby. She is doing so good going to Kids Club at the gym and doesn't cry when I leave her. Hopefully that keeps up.

Kendall the little gymnast. She loves gymnastic.

Play date at our friend's house.

Avery and Jaxon are so cute on the tire swing.

We rode the miniature train!
We haven't done it since last summer and it was a blast!

Our friend's 1 year old's bday party. They had a bounce house and a pool.
The girls never wanted to leave.

Mother's Day pic with my three girls!
Our ward has continued the tradition of giving out Nothing Bundt cakes at church! If they ever stop there might be a revolt.

Tyler was supposed to work 9a-9p on Mother's Day but he called in in the morning and they told him he could come in a few hours late! Tyler made me breakfast and then I fell asleep on the couch while Reagan was taking her morning nap and when I woke up Tyler and the big girls were asleep in our bed.
Pretty great Mother's Day!

The girls drew me LOTS of pictures for Mother's Day.

We visited Spirit and fed him an apple.

Tyler saved a turtle crossing the road and brought him home for the girls to keep as their pet.

Unfortunately, he escaped a couple days later, but it was fun while it lasted.

Avery's pre-K graduation!

She's so cute and did a great job singing in the program.

With her teacher Ms. Shannon

Avery had a great year and has improved in SO many things!
I really think she is ready for Kindergarten and is going to do so well.

Ms. Shannon was a great teacher. We will miss her.

We visited the splash pad at the zoo!
It was a disaster and I will not be going back anytime soon.
Kendall cried the entire time about one thing or another and made it totally miserable. I feel bad because Avery loves it and would stay all day, but I can't handle Kendall and the baby at the same time so I don't know if we'll go back.
Three kids is hard!

She fell asleep with a rice cake.
I don't know why I took a picture.

Avery calls this her "invention".
It's a brownie with ice cream on top surround by whipped cream. Pretty fancy!

At the science museum they had a bunch of model bones on the table.
Avery figured out where to put all of them to make a person. She did a pretty good job!

Avery making muscle arms behind Kendall.
They thought this was hilaaarious!

I have about 50 of these on my phone.
We took a bunch and then they looked through them for twenty minutes giggling the whole time.

Swimming at our friend's pool.

..... with Dad!

Baby Reags got to swim too!

This looks like a picture they will look back on thirty years from now and remember the good ol days.

It's always more fun when Dad comes.

We tried out some read-to-me books from the library.
They liked it, but the only cd player we have is our computers and I would have to stop and go put in a new disc every 5-7 minutes so they could read the next book so... not really worth it.

Some friends from the ward invited us over for a BBQ on Memorial Day.
Tyler was working but I took the girls and they had a blast running around the property with all the kids and chasing chickens.
Avery is dying to have chickens "just like Gramma"

Kendall the artist.
I asked her to go pick up the paintbrushes they were using and a few minutes later she said, "Mom, I made you!"
She is posing like the paint brush person for the picture.

Our friends had their baby! We took them dinner and got to meet her.
Another baby Regan!

JPS hosted a graduation picnic for the families. They had a petting zoo and a bounce house and lots of food. We had a good time!

These girls loves animals.

Tyler's class.
Graduation is next week! Eeeeek!!

Tyler loved showing off his baby to everyone.

Swimming at another friend's pool.
We just have to mooch off everyone else because we don't have our own.

This was today at the grocery store.
Kendall asked me to take a picture of her and Reagan and I'm so glad I did. How cute is this!?

This week Avery is doing Vacation Bible School at a local church. A few people from our ward are doing it so I let her go even though I was a little nervous about it. She is loving it! It's 9-noon every day this week. They do chapel time, crafts, gym time, snacks, bible lessons and the kids dress up in different themes every day and can earn pretend dollars to buy prizes with so Avery always comes home with cool prizes. She is having a great time and it's good to rub shoulders with people of another faith in the community.

We have also started up with gymnastics again and Kendall started dance. (Avery didn't want to do dance this time). They will also be starting swim lessons soon. We have Grammy and Grandpa Engstrom coming next week for Tyler's graduation so this month should (hopefully) fly by!

I've been waiting and waiting for a blog up date-it was worth it!!!
The pictures are SO FUN!!!
I was smiling and chuckling the whole time I was looking at them.
I wish I could be there more often to give you some extra hands, I'm sorry it's exhausting at times.
You have some great photos to remember some really fun and sweet memories!
I love them all!
I'm so excited to see you all next week!!

I love how Reagan is smiling in every single picture. Does she ever cry? Yes, having 3 kids is really hard, but you are doing great! You do so many fun things with them and hopefully now it will be a little easier with Tyler graduated!
