We haven't done anything especially exciting this month, but I still took lots of pictures. I need to blog more often because I take way too many pictures! Avery and Kendall started gymnastics which they both LOVE and Avery is taking swim lessons too. It's fun to have some summer activities to keep us busy. Tyler is having a super busy month and is taking his last board exam (tomorrow!) but in July things should start to slow down for us as we begin our third and final year of residency!!!!
Kendall looking super cute hanging out at our friend's house.
Avery watching TV. (???)
We had a Primary Temple trip. We walked around the grounds and learned about the temple.
Sister Merritt is our primary president and she is great with the kids. I love working with her.
Cute girls at the temple.
Eating a freezer pop on the porch.
I've been trying to do kid dinners once a week with the girls. I let them help me make a simple, kid-friendly dinner. It's going....ok. This was Avery's first time using a knife. She did great until she got a little careless and got a tiny cut on her finger and then she was too afraid to try anymore. haha! She really likes helping measure stuff though. Kendall mostly just likes to watch.
... and eat the food!
Avery looked so angelic and comfy taking a nap, I had to take a picture.
We went to play with one of Avery's besties, Ethan! They live 50 mins away now so we don't get together as much as we used to. But Avery just loves Ethan and they have a blast together and she talks about him all the time.
Holding Ethan's puppy, Noodles.
Necklaces, bracelets, scepters...Kendall's ready to go for the day!
Some friends in the ward gave us eggs from their chickens! The girls love all the colors!
Kendall just chillin in the swing.
Visiting the new Clifford exhibit at the science museum!
We have been going to the ER every week to take a peek at our baby and see if we can tell the gender. Avery likes to be Daddy's helper.
Looking at the baby!
Still can't tell the gender...
Visiting with some of the other residents in the resident room.
One of Tyler's co-residents was taking care of 4 kittens until they were old enough to go to their new homes. She invited us over so the girls could play with the kitties and they loved it!!
Avery wants a pet so bad.
Kendall loved them until she got scratched by their little claws.
Kendall and Avery had a sleep over at the Bodily's house while Tyler and I went to Tyler's work conference in Dallas. They stayed up way too late, but they had so much fun!
All dressed up for the dinner.
Dessert sampler!
The conference was super fun! We got put up in a really nice hotel, ate lots of good food, and got to sleep in!
Avery's first swim lesson! Kendall was super sad she couldn't get in.
We got to hang out together and watch though so it turned out ok!
Avery is loving swim lessons! I've been really pleased with them too. She's had private lessons the last two lessons and she is already getting really confident with back floats and going under water.
Kendall all dressed up! She's so cute!
17 weeks! I'm finally starting to really feel/look pregnant.
Clifford came to visit at the museum!
We love the zoo splash pad! Well, Avery does. Kendall doesn't like getting splashed so she mostly just sits in the shade with me and eats snacks. I love it though! It's so relaxing now that Avery is old enough to run around by herself and Kendall just hangs out with me.
Tyler took Avery to swim lesson one morning while I had a doctor appointment. He got this really great picture of her doing a back float with her teacher!
Avery made Kendall a bed out of the paper towel roll.
Catching minnows at the park. This is Avery's new favorite past time!
Showing off her minnows.
Cuties at the park.
Kendall all lined up to go into her gymnastics class. She looooves it!! She's standing next to her friend Audrey (Ethan's little sister).
Avery and Ethan have their class right after the little girls.
We had a girl's night when Tyler was working one night and Avery wanted to invite Olivia over. The girls loved painting nails and putting on a face mask.
Kendall has been begging for a big girl bed like Avery's so we decided to finally do it. Tyler put the bed together for her!
Hooray for a big girl bed! I love that I finally get to put out her quilt!
Love their cute shared room!
The box the new mattress came in has been a big hit.
She loves her bed!
Got the room all put together.
Javier's Tacos for dinner! Avery loved that her feet could touch the ground on this bench.
Then we went to Bahama Bucks with their coupon from the library reading program.
So fun when Daddy can join us for fun activities!
Cafe Rio for Father's Day dinner!
We had fun spoiling Daddy today.
Love him!
