Weekend in Galveston

We just got back from our weekend in Galveston. It was so fun to meet up with our friends and hang out just like old times. We wish we had time to go down more often. I barely took any pictures of our trip because we were too busy chatting and enjoying our time together. It was also really fun to be there on Match Day and get to celebrate with the Pratts about their match! Such an exciting time!

But first, a few odds and ends pictures...

Kendall sleeping on Daddy at church.
She's such a little sweetie.

Grocery shopping with my cuties in the rain.

Kendall has a quirky habit that every time I pick her up she immediately sticks her arm down my shirt.
Every. Time.
It's super annoying!

I find a lot of Kendall selfies on my phone.

Avery working on her craft during story time at the library.

We went to the trampoline park last week and there was a huge line to get in because of spring break. Avery waited very patiently in line and stood like 6 inches behind the lady in front of us the whole time. The lady would take a step forward and Avery would shuffle up right next to her again. You can't tell so much from the picture, but she was awkwardly close. hahaha!

I don't know why I thought this was so cute. Just two sisters sharing a snack.

We've been having so much fun with Tyler having some extra days off.
We went to Paul's donuts for breakfast last Saturday.
Kendall kept pointing at the sprinkle donuts saying, "prink-kl! prink-kl!" so Tyler got her her very own sprinkle donut and she polished off the whole thing!

Pretty happy girl with her donut and her daddy.

Avery had this dolly all set up in a salon chair while she worked on her hair. I love watching her play pretend.

Avery and Kendall both fell asleep in the car on the way to church.
It was the most amazing Sacrament Meeting ever.

Kendall rolling her back on Daddy's foam roller.

We went to the art museum downtown where they had an event going on for the kids. Avery did an art project out of clay.

They had a story time with kids and taught them about architecture.

Avery and Ethan being an arch.... sort of.

Outside the museum they have a huge sculpture called The Vortex and the kids all ran around in it squealing and making lots of noise. I had to drag the girls away. We will definitely be going back!

The girls playing in the fountain.

I made these pillows before Kendall was even born (I think). This is exactly how I envisioned them being used. I love these cute little sisters.

Got our free cones at DQ!

Kendall dug right in. This girl has such a sweet tooth.

Sticky ice cream kisses.

Late night pizza party after the kids were in bed!

We were visited by Leprechauns on St Patricks Day!

They left a trail all over the house.

And left Avery a pot of gold in her kitchen sink!

Kendall was just trying to stuff as much candy in her face as possible before we picked it all up.

All packed up and ready to go down to Galveston! We turned Kendall's car seat around for the trip and she was SO happy.

Kendall was asleep 10 minutes into the trip. Both the girls were really good in the car there and back.

We stayed with the Cardozas. It was so awesome to get together with them again and see their renovated house. In the morning we took a walk at the nearby park to feed the turtles.

Feeding turtles from the bridge.

Watching the kite boarders.

Hiking back from the dike.

Just walking with our hands in our pockets.
(How old is this girl??)

The kiddos eating ice cream.

Just hanging out.

Kendall and Henry on the tramp.

The big kids jumping on the bed.

Driving home.
We passed the hospital where Avery was born and pointed it out to her.

We stopped to see Tyler's mission companion, Clint.

The girls liked playing with his kids.

Kendall thinks she's a big girl on the swing.

We had such a good time seeing everyone. We also got to have our friends the Poulsens over for dinner the night before we left so we got to see almost everyone who is still in the area. We are blessed with so many great friends! I wish we could take them all with us everywhere we move.

Tyler has the rest of the month off so we are looking forward to a fun week ahead.

Ohhh, I just get the best laughs out of these girlies fun activities. Avery's little straight stance right behind the lady in line for the tramp time; Kendall eating all the Leprechaun candy as fast as she can get it to her mouth, cute ice cream kisses with her daddy, hand down mommy's shirt-hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
I love seeing them sitting on the cute pillows you made them and sharing treats on the kitchen floor. Blogs are so awesome-they sure make up for me not to be there to see it all in person! They are just the cutest!!!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo!

I can't get over how cute Kendall is with that donut!! Also, cutest mom ever with the st. Patrick's day celebrations! I loved that little green sign in avery's kitchen! Ah, it was SO fun to have you guys come down and made me miss you that much more! I'm happy we will both still be in Texas and hopefully we'll be able to visit each other at least once! Having you here on match day was the best way to top of our celebration! Love you!
