The last several weeks have been incredibly frustrating for me. On top of Avery's normal two-year-old antics, she has been having issues with going poop. She doesn't like to go and holds it in and finally got so constipated we ended up having to give her an enema. I won't get into all the nasty details but I have been cleaning up more poop then I can stand and I am at my wits end with my girl. On top of all of that, Tyler has been working nights for 3 weeks straight and we see him for maybe one hour a day so I am on my own with all of my frustration. I feel like we are finally getting a feel for what it feels like to be in residency. The first couple months weren't too bad, but Tyler has been totally MIA for almost a month now. I have been counting down the days till his current rotation is over, but he says the next one is only going to be worse :(
For the most part we are doing okay. We have a lot of fun activities to keep us busy. But when the days get long and I've changed Avery's underwear 12 times and Kendall won't take a nap without being held I am ready to call it quits. Unfortunately you don't ever get to "go home" from being a mom.
Here are some pictures of fun times we've been having.
Avery modeling the Rapunzel hair I made her. Tangled (and Cinderella) is her favorite movie and she kept trying to make her blanket be long Rapunzel hair so I decided to make her a wig to wear. She loves it and wears it most days.
Kendall at 9 months!
How is this girl getting so big!
Avery put her hair on Kendall.
This girl is all smiles.
This is Avery's little preschool group. I can barely call it a preschool, more just a glorified playgroup. The kids only have "school" once every other week for 2 hours and the other week we do a group outing. It's perfect for us and Avery is having a blast with her cute friends. She especially likes Ethan, the little boy in green.
Last week we celebrated Sadie's 3rd birthday by riding the train downtown. Avery loved it and shouted "We're riding the train! Choo-choo!" the entire ride.
Cute girls on the train.
I got Avery fitted for some ballet shoes for her first dance class. I'm not really that snooty about her ballet shoes, but I have had the worst luck with ordering Avery shoes online and I wanted to make sure we got the right size.
I got her a leotard too and I am dying from the cuteness.
Cutest ballerina ever!!
I do love this sweet girl even though she's giving me lots of grief these days.
I put her hair in a pony tail for the first time and I think it's so cute!
Kendall's new trick is standing up with no support. It's a fun game for her and she is so pleased with herself.
Daddy playing around with Kendall this morning.
Avery showing off her tower of tuna cans.
My parents are here for a visit! They are giving me their piano, which was my Grandma's before she died, and they drove it down from Denver along with all the other things I've been storing at their house all these years.
I am sooo excited to have a piano! I never get to play and I'm excited to get practicing again.
I'm also glad they are here so I can get a much needed break from the nonstop demands of my kiddos. My parents are a great help I'm looking forward to the break. You can see my dad wearing the "hat" Avery put on his head. haha We are in for a fun week!

Man I feel your pain. I'm sorry it's so rough. It's tough when your kids are going through a hard phase AND your husband is MIA. Nights have to be the worst. Glad your parents are here to give you a break. Good luck!
Yay for the piano! Your girls are so cute. :) Sorry they are giving you such a hard time. Enjoy your parents helping out while you can!
