Granbury Beach, Fort Worth Children's museum

For playgroup a couple weeks ago, we went to Granbury Beach, which is a little man made beach on a lake in the town of Granbury. My expectations were pretty low, but it was a great little beach. The sand was soft and perfect and the water was warm. And they even had shaded picnic tables all over the beach and a splash pad nearby so you can wash all the sand off your kids before getting back in the car. We had a great time! It was a little bit of a drive (about 50 minutes away) so my friend offered to have us carpool with them. I thought Avery and Ethan were too cute in the back seat. All ready for the beach!

My friend's kids are very close in age to mine. Avery and Ethan are such cute little buddies already and it won't be long before Kendall and Audrey buddy up too, I'm sure!

Little beach babes.

My other playgroup (I get together with the ward playgroup and the residency wives playgroup) we visited the Fort Worth Children's Museum. It's much bigger than the Galveston museum, but I still miss that other little place. Avery had a great time checking out all the different stations.

Water table.

Grocery shopping. Avery LOVED this one.

So did Kendall!

We had a fun visit from my friend Trisha from Galveston!
She is staying with her in-laws in Dallas for a few weeks before they move to Arizona and she drove over to spend the day with us.
Ava and Avery are so goofy together. It was just like old times.

Ava wore her out!

Kendall looking very much like Toad from MarioKart.
Kendall is such a happy baby. She is so snuggly and cute and keeps herself entertained pretty well for the most part. She still won't sleep longer than 45 minutes without being held and that is a huge pain. Good thing she makes up for it with her cute face.

I can't get enough of Avery's wedgies. She doesn't seem to care in the least.

We had rice krispie treats for FHE last week and Avery shared hers with Kendall when I wasn't looking. I couldn't even be mad because our lesson was about being nice to Kendall.

Kendall is cruising like crazy. She loves to stand up anytime she can.

We got to play with Daddy at our friend's pool on Tyler's day off.
The pool is always more fun with Dad!

Kendall being cute and not taking a nap :(

Avery still loves pushing Kendall around in the baby stroller.
Kendall is a big fan now.

I borrowed one of these walker toys for Kendall and it's a big hit.
It's kind of freaking me out how good she is at walking. I just want her to stay little! She is at the perfect age right now.

This is how we found Avery one night when we checked on her before we went to bed.
