Zoo Boo

This past week we took Avery to the Zoo Boo in Houston. They decorate the Zoo for Halloween and all the kids come in their costumes and can trick-or-treat at stations around the zoo. Avery is still too small to really get what's going on, but she likes being out and about in her stroller so she had a good time. We must have wore her out because she slept for 12.5 hours that night. 8pm-8:30am. Heaven!!

Lion!

Giraffe

Just a couple of monkeys.

Cheetah.

Avery got to pick a mini pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.
This was probably her favorite part about the whole zoo experience.

Elephant. And Avery holding her pumpkin that she wouldn't surrender for the rest of the day.

This elephant was playing with a tire. I've never seen anything like it. He was lifting it, and chewing on it, and eventually pushed it through the fence.
It was really fun to watch. We were mesmerized!

We also got to take our little strawberry to the Ward Halloween Party this Saturday. Isn't she the cutest little fruit you've ever laid eyes on?

Tyler had to work on Saturday so Avery and I went and rode the ferry with the Anderson kids and their Grandma who has been babysitting them for the week while their parents get to go on a cruise. (jealous!) I've never fed the seagulls before because I am very afraid of getting pooped on, but Lawson was so excited about it I had to try it out. I got brave and let them eat it out of my hand eventually. And I didn't get pooped on so it all turned out okay.

Lori feeding the birds.

Avery was very helpful and held the bread for us.

Me and my girl!
