I realize I haven't updated our blog for weeks. We don't have much picture-worthy news, but we definitely have been busy.
This week I've finally started a new position at my company, somewhat of a promotion. They are having me do onsite coaching for a company here in Texas that needs a little extra attention. I'll be going there two days each week to do face-to-face health coaching as well as anything else I can think of to get everyone over there moving in the right direction with their health. It's pretty much a dream job for me. I've always wanted to be in charge of a Corporate Wellness program and I pretty much get to do just that, with a little guidance from my company. It's almost better because my company has already done a lot of the oganizational work and I just get to be creative and do fun activities in addition to working with the employees. The past several weeks I've had to go visit the site a couple times and have been doing prep work to get ready for this big transition and now it's finally here. There is still a lot of work to be done, but right now I'm feeling good and excited to get things going.
Tyler has been busy studying for his class. His final is tomorrow and he is pretty ready for it to be done. He says this hasn't been his favorite class so he's looking forward to the end of it. He's also been pumping a lot of iron at the gym and recently maxed at 240 - PR! He convinced he can get 250 when we go lift tomorrow :) Having the gym so close to us has been really awesome. It makes it really easy to go work out even when we only have a few minutes in our schedules. We really like to go together so I can spot Tyler on bench and we can play raquetball, which is way more fun than running on treadmill. I really like lifting with Tyler because he pushes me to do exercises I don't normally do (like bench) and I can lift a lot more weight when I have him to spot me. After we get back from our vacation I have a goal to try a spin class (never done it before!) and go to yoga.
We have a lot of things to get done this weekend before we head home to Colorado for Christmas. Tyler has his final tomorrow, I have a full day of work tomorrow, Tyler is conducting a baptism on Saturday and giving a talk in church on Sunday, and we have to clean the house and pack before heading up to the airport. It's a lot to think about, but luckily after we get through it we have a long, relaxing, ski-filled Christmas vacation to look forward to. I can't wait!
